Apparently, Rochester’s not the only place with an inferiority complex.

An Iowa TV host has posted a video about his beloved state called “Iowa Nice.” It has the same snarky tone as the Rochester Made website. Buffalo Rising said its city’s visitors bureau could learn a thing or two from the Iowa Nice video. I think the same goes for Rochester, except for the cursing in the video. (If someone posts a snarky Rochester Rocks video, let me know!)

Here’s the Iowa Nice video. Be warned, there is strong language. A clean version can be found here.

  1. I once brought my FL cousin who was a developer on the Gulf Coast on a tour of downtown ROC. He commented that it looked like a crazy quilt of altered egos.

HAH! Very good! I wish I were creative enough to do the Rochester version. At least I know the swear words.

Ha. Awesome. Points out quite well the stupidity and ignorance of the masses. Instead of believing what you hear, more of us would benefit from self discovery of the facts and then forming our own opinions.

It’s actually funny! Snarky maybe, but certainly highlights how awful our assumptions are about some places.

The problem with Rochester is the infatuation everybody has for the garbage plate, wegmans, and other meaningless things. I would love to send you a list of dumb things about Rochester the Rochester people think are great. It really is a shame we have the only revolving restaurant on the east coast and it is empty. I could go on and on.

I love both! But Rochester Made missed one –Champion Products invented both the hoodie and the sports bra. You’re welcome.
